Black Lives Matter
I created this website to share my successes and failings in home fermentation with anyone who visits the site. Excluding anyone based on skin color, or any other attribute, goes against everything that this site—and the global community of enthusiasts sharing with each other—stands for.
We also need to recognize that this new wave of fermentation enthusiasm is propped up by privilege that is easy to overlook. So many people are food insecure and do not have the luxury of storing and preserving it.
I only hope that this site and the information within, given freely, can cross imaginary boundaries of race and class and be useful to all people.
And so I say again, black lives matter. If this statement is in any way controversial to you, I urge you to take a moment to consider why it is said, and seek out black voices with an open heart.
